Over the past couple of months we’ve been working closely with the Churches Conservation Trust to manage a small but highly significant piece of work at the Grade I listed Holy Trinity church in Sunderland.

Supported by the Coastal Revival Fund, works have been completed to repair and conserve the 3 original Eighteenth century entrance doors to the West elevation. The doors were in poor condition and had been subject to inappropriate repairs over more recent times, with two of the doors no longer openable.

Completed by Rupert McBain Furniture, these conservation works have ensured that the doors can continue to be a significant part of the building operation and can welcome visitors in a manner that befits the scale and significance of this important historic asset.
