Work has now finished at the Brewhouse Cafe in the stunning grounds of Seaton Delaval Hall. One of the oldest buildings on the site, predating Vanbrugh’s masterpiece, this jewel of an agricultural building has been sensitively restored to create a new cafe for the National Trust. An extension has been created using zinc and sweet chestnut cladding, to house a state of the art catering kitchen and overspill seating. A delightful landscaped seating area to the west offers sunlit space for well earned refreshments after a visit to the rest of the estate.
